What is meant by "oxygen device" here?
The oxygen devices offered here are predominantly cylinder systems with medical oxygen. Depending on the version, they consist of an oxygen cylinder, pressure reducer, tubing, and oxygen mask. Some systems are also offered with nasal cannulas, emergency bags, or trolleys.
What size makes sense?
- 0.8 to 1 liter: particularly compact for emergency kits and mobile equipment.
- 2 liters: often a good compromise between weight and oxygen supply.
- 10 liters: larger gas supply for longer operating times and more stationary applications.
At 200 bar, a 2-liter cylinder theoretically contains about 400 liters of gas, and a 10-liter cylinder about 2,000 liters. The actual operating time depends on the set flow.
Adjustable or fixed flow?
Adjustable pressure reducers such as GCE MediSelect II 25 or AEROway Fast 15 allow different flow rates. Systems with fixed flow are intended for defined applications. Pressure reducer, valve, tubing, and mask must be technically compatible.
Oxygen device, oxygen concentrator, or cylinder system?
An oxygen concentrator continuously generates oxygen from ambient air. The systems offered here, however, work with a pressurized gas cylinder filled with medical oxygen. For professional emergency equipment and clearly defined application situations, a cylinder system can be the more suitable solution.
