How does the oxygen cylinder exchange work?

  2. We ship an exchange cylinder filled with medical oxygen.
  3. The corresponding empty cylinder is returned or collected in accordance with our return instructions.
  4. After receipt, we check the marking and technical condition and add suitable cylinders to the exchange pool.
Which cylinders can be exchanged?

Our exchange system covers common sizes from 0.3 to 10 litres. In addition to volume, design, marking, valve and technical condition must be suitable. Third-party cylinders can generally be considered if technically suitable and not subject to another supplier's rental or loan ownership.

What should I consider about technical inspection intervals and the use-by date?

The technical inspection interval relates to the compressed-gas cylinder. For the medical oxygen it contains, the use-by date shown on the supplied cylinder is authoritative; for our fillings, the use-by period is generally 35 months from filling. Both periods must be considered separately.

How are exchange cylinders shipped and returned?

Filled exchange cylinders are shipped in accordance with applicable dangerous goods regulations. The return of empty cylinders must follow the shipping and packaging instructions provided for the respective return.

Which components are compatible with the cylinder?

Depending on the cylinder, a suitable oxygen pressure regulator is required. Complete systems are available under emergency systems with medical oxygen.
