Medical compressed air (AIR)

Filled compressed gas cylinders or cylinder fillings with medical compressed air (AIR) .

Medical compressed air in compressed gas cylinders is used for various medical purposes, such as:

• As a substitute for normal ambient air or room air when indicated, e.g. in artificial ventilation or in conjunction with anesthesia as a component of the ventilation gas to adjust the gas mixture to the desired oxygen content.
• As a propellant gas for inhalation treatment with nebulizer.
• As pure air for the care of immunosuppressed patients, e.g. after organ/cell transplantation or in the case of large burns.
• Medical compressed air is a medical product and must meet certain quality requirements, such as purity, humidity, particles and microorganisms. It is supplied in compressed gas cylinders that must be operated with a pressure reducer and a flow regulator to regulate the pressure and the amount of gas flowing out. The compressed gas cylinders are marked with a white label with the word “AIR”.

The compressed air offered here is a medical product and is not suitable for operating medical devices or applications directly on the patient.
