Select the appropriate cylinder size for exchange. You receive a technically inspected replacement cylinder filled with medical oxygen at 200 bar. Return of the empty cylinder is included in the service.
Return of the empty oxygen cylinder
- 0.3 to 3 litres: A return label is included with the delivery. After changing cylinders, pack the empty cylinder securely for transport and return it using this label.
- 5 and 10 litres: The empty cylinder is returned by collection.

Shelf life and technical inspection
The use-by date shown on the supplied cylinder is decisive for the medical oxygen; shelf life is 35 months from filling. The technical inspection period of the pressure cylinder is a separate requirement.
Please compare before ordering
Select the option matching your existing empty cylinder. Cylinder volume, material and valve design are particularly important; the dimensions help identify the correct option. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the cylinder and its markings before ordering.
Exchange requirements
If the returned oxygen cylinder was not originally supplied by us, the next technical inspection date shown on its inspection label must not have passed. If a technical inspection is required, a charge of EUR 75.00 applies.

Pressure regulator: check maintenance and service life
When exchanging your cylinder, also check the maintenance intervals and permitted service life of your existing pressure regulator. Exchanging the cylinder does not renew the regulator or restart its service life.
Follow the manufacturer’s specifications
The maintenance interval and maximum service life are not the same. Whether a service life of, for example, ten years applies and whether scheduled maintenance is required during that period depends on the specific model and its manufacturer’s instructions. “Maintenance-free” does not mean that the required checks before use can be omitted. The manufacturer’s specified starting point for the period and the markings on the device apply, not the cylinder exchange date.
We can help identify the relevant time limits
Have the manufacturer, model, serial number and any date markings ready, or send us clearly legible photos of the markings. We can help identify the relevant requirements and time limits. Advice based on photos does not replace a technical inspection of the device. If the permitted service life has expired, do not continue using the regulator.
Maintenance or replacement?
If maintenance is required by the manufacturer, a suitable new pressure regulator may be more economical. We can help compare maintenance and replacement costs and select a version suitable for the gas, connection and intended use. Required maintenance must not be omitted to save costs.

Which option should I choose for my empty cylinder?
Choose the option matching the cylinder volume, material and valve design of your existing empty cylinder. The 2-litre options distinguish between steel and aluminium.
Will my empty cylinder be collected?
For the offered sizes from 0.8 to 3 litres, return the securely packaged empty cylinder using the supplied return label. For 5- and 10-litre cylinders, return is by collection.
Why does the 2-litre aluminium cylinder contain 360 litres of oxygen?
The version commonly called a 2-litre aluminium cylinder actually has a cylinder volume of 1.8 litres and contains 360 litres of oxygen at 200 bar. The 2-litre steel cylinder contains 400 litres.
What if I cannot clearly identify my cylinder?
Before ordering, send us a photo of the cylinder and its markings or call us on 0800 1 260 280. We can then help you select the appropriate exchange option.

Payment and Shipping
The following conditions apply:
Delivery is only available domestically (Germany).
No delivery to packing stations
Deliveries to DHL packing stations, post offices, parcel shops or similar collection points are generally excluded.
Please provide a deliverable street address with your order. This can be your home address, business address, practice address, or another address where the shipment can be personally received.
If a packing station, post office or collection point is nevertheless provided as a delivery address, no shipment will be made. In this case, we will request a suitable street address before delivery.
Shipping Costs (including statutory value-added tax)
We calculate shipping costs based on shipping weight:
For insured delivery with a shipping service provider of our choice within Germany, we charge EUR 7.99.
For the shipment of dangerous goods, we charge as follows:
For shipments with a total weight of 0.01 - 5 kg: shipping costs EUR 34.90,
for shipments with a total weight of 5.01 - 20 kg: shipping costs EUR 39.90,
for shipments with a total weight of 20.01 - 40 kg: shipping costs EUR 44.90,
for shipments with a total weight of 40.01 - 60 kg: shipping costs EUR 49.90,
for shipments with a total weight of 60.01 - 80 kg: shipping costs EUR 54.90,
for shipments with a total weight of 80.01 - 100 kg: shipping costs EUR 59.90,

For delivery to German islands, an island surcharge of €15.00 will be added to the shipping costs.
Delivery Times
Unless a different period is specified in the respective offer, goods will be delivered domestically (Germany) within 3 - 5 days after conclusion of the contract (in case of agreed prepayment, after the time of your payment instruction).
Please note that no deliveries are made on Sundays and public holidays.
If you have ordered items with different delivery times, the goods will be shipped in a single consignment, unless we have made different arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item with the longest delivery time that you have ordered.
For self-collection, we will inform you by email about the availability of the goods and the collection options. In this case, no shipping costs will be charged.

Further details on payment
The invoice amount is due within 10 days for payment by invoice.
For payment by SEPA direct debit, you authorize us to collect the invoice amount from the specified account by issuing a corresponding SEPA mandate.
You will receive a pre-notification at least 5 days before the direct debit date. Please note that you are obliged to ensure sufficient funds in the account on the announced date.
For payment by credit card (without using a payment service provider), your credit card account will be charged upon conclusion of the contract.
